The Heroes for Heroes program was started by:

Keith Mallow.
Heroes for Heroes is a program created to send thousands of comics overseas to the troops in Iraq & Afghanistan.
Our initial goal was to send 10,000 comics, but with the help of very generous people like

We have just been blessed with a new contributor!

HEROES FOR HEROES RECEIVES ANOTHER HUGE DONATION!!
On August 2, 2007, Heroes for Heroes received a huge donation of over 67,000 comics weighing almost 10,000 pounds from Chris & Shirley Lord of Humble, Texas.
Chris & Shirley Lord have made many donations in the past, and continue to be one of this program's largest supporters.
Another wonderful and incredibly generous guy,
Jack Buscemi, has been a staunch supporter over the years.
He is responsible for us getting many thousands of books, and in addition, on this past Monday-11/29/2010, he has sent over fifty short boxes of trade paperbacks!
When we first formed Heroes for Heroes in 2005, we were hoping to put together 10,000 comics to ship overseas.
When news of what we were trying to accomplish hit the internet, donations starting pouring in from all over the country!
With the support of so many generous, caring individuals, Heroes For Heroes has now surpassed over 500,000 comics being sent overseas to our soldiers.
Chaplains have E-mailed us, telling us that once the soldiers find out that there are comic books in the boxes, they tear into them like kids on Christmas!
We are told that the comics are practically the only source of entertainment for our soldiers in the war zone!
I received the best Christmas Eve present in my life, last year! It is from a soldier and friend. His name is TJ Tierny, and he sent us the photo you see below;
Now if this photo doesn't make you tear-up or give you goose bumps, I don't know what will!! our soldiers need to know that we are behind them, and that they are never far from our thoughts & prayers!
